dP has taken the plunge into league play! Rogue has signed us up for UGC (United Gaming Clans) and one of our two newest War Chiefs, Lonewolf, has signed us up for TWL (Team Warfare League). If you are a member of dP and would like to get involved in the 6v6 come to one of our 6v6 Saturday night practices or just come into our match and practice server.


I would like to thank Lonewolf and Preacher/InDo for stepping into the role of War Chief. Lone will primarily deal with 6v6 scrims and Preacher/InDo will work on getting more 10v10 and Highlander scrims together. They will work with Dj Rogue (who is doing a phenomenal job btw) to get dP's name out there even further into the word of TF2. They also have full admin now so if you need someone banned I'm sure they'd take out the hammer for you guys. :D


Last but certainly not least I'd like to welcome our resident tech guide maker and 6v6 team member to dP. Please officially welcome `br4dz- to the dP family! He's been tearing it up with us in scrims and will be a great addition to the family.

Our Goldrush/Badwater server is going great. I've finally worked the kinks out of the Match/Practice and Payload Massacre servers. The plugins work correctly and all the payload maps are in the downloads section. I will be uploading the custom match maps shortly.

That leads me to the real reason for the post: Fun and Skill Madhouse is back open! We have for your playing pleasure: Arena, Cube Soccer, CTF and Basketball CTF
I will be adding more play styles as I continue testing.

I would also like to welcome EVA to the dP family. I know I put an announcement in the forums but I think all new members should get a front page welcome! The other recruits can track your progress in this thread.

I've decided to field the one consistent and puzzling question that none of our members are asking: How much money do we need to stay up? Our current cost to run dP is a mere $119.00 a month. With the amount of members we have I don't think it's a huge number. I do appreciate those who have contributed and you can follow the donation progress on the right side of our homepage.


I've also worked out a few problems with our downloads section and added a sweet Ventrilo overlay that Flatfoot found. That's right there's custom arena maps up there! I've decided to take a new approach to the Fun and Skill Madhouse server. I'm going to implement a new play style after it's been extensively tested and all of the features are working correctly. The first update is Stock and Custom Arena Maps.


Vote on what we should do with our bastard server here. I'm pulling for custom payloads :D

You might know him from the hundreds of times he's blown your head off. He's been playing with dP for a while and Gates finally got him to join our little family. So I'd like to say welcome!


In other news I've changed the servers... again. We now have 2 Pro rotation servers that will change maps every 20 minutes to a random map. I've added a few changes to give the server more of a league play. In addition to the tournament style configurations I've also limited the number of players that can join and get this: added a weapon restriction. That's right due restrictions in league play the Sandman will not be accessible on our two Pro Rotation servers.

Some of you may know about our little tiff with the gaming community know as "No Heroes" I respond to what I felt was a slap in the face to our family. I bit my tongue long enough but when someone steps over the line and insults my dP family I do not hesitate to react and defend us.


In response we have been perma-muted. No voice, no chat, not even the ability to call for a medic. Honestly I would have rather been perma-banned. It's time to move on and I urge dP members and recruits to refrain from adding insult to us by playing on their servers.

The coup d'état is almost complete. The good news is our donate page is back online and dP members can start donating again. The bad news is our paid reserved slots are still down as we work out a few more kinks. We also may have to reset our HLStats. Sorries!

There is sad news to report from the [dp-nation]. One of the Godfathers of DP not to mention the crazy bastard who designed our page has decided to leave dP. Clubfoot will not longer be a member of dP. He needs the time he's been spending on TF2 to work on realizing his ultimate goal: World Domination.


There will be more news on this as we work out the transition to life in dP without our beloved Clubfail. I tip my cap to you good sir. Give him a good send off in our discussion.
